Hello, fellow traveler.

Let’s share our paths for a while as we journey through the world of writing, nature, and the spiritual.

Not long ago, I came across a hardwood tree in town, its lower branches festooned with strips of white paper.  I crossed to it to investigate and found a single sentence on each paper I read.

A woman stopped by and asked, “What’s this?”

“A thanksgiving tree.”

“Cool.”

We spent fifteen minutes sampling messages that covered many topics of gratefulness, but most were thanks for health or family.  A plastic bag of blank papers hung from one branch, an invitation for us to add our single sentence of blessing.

Continuing on,  I found myself mulling the blessings in my life.  One sentence was but a sample of the lovely things that came to mind.  And I felt stronger, better able to face the turmoil of these times.

Happy Thanksgiving!
